The Special Forces for Environmental Security arrested a citizen violating the environmental law for transporting two cubic meters of local firewood in the Madinah region, and legal measures were taken against him, while the seized quantities were handed over to the competent authority.

The forces explained that the penalty for transporting local firewood and charcoal amounts to 16,000 riyals per cubic meter, stressing the importance of adhering to environmental instructions to limit violations and protect natural resources.

The forces added that they call for reporting any cases of encroachment on the environment or wildlife via 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or via 999 and 996 in the rest of the Kingdom's regions.

The Special Forces for Environmental Security emphasized that all reports will be treated with complete confidentiality and without any liability on the reporter.
