The arm of the galaxy (the Milky Way) shone in the sky of the 'Umm al-Asafir' area, located 60 kilometers south of Rafha Governorate, today, in a striking astronomical scene that showed the clear extension of the arm thanks to the clarity of the atmosphere.

The absence of moonlight or its low intensity contributes to increasing the contrast of the galaxy and showing its details more clearly, providing a suitable environment for astronomy enthusiasts and astrophotographers.

Desert areas with low light pollution are among the most suitable locations for observing astronomical phenomena, according to SPA, due to their open horizon and clear skies that allow viewing celestial bodies with the naked eye or using astronomical equipment.
