Rabat, Dhu al-Hijjah 4, 1447 AH, corresponding to May 21, 2026, SPA – Moroccan female pilgrims experienced moments of joy and longing for the Holy House inside the hall of the "Makkah Road" initiative at Rabat-Salé International Airport, as tears of emotion mixed with expressions of reassurance while they completed their travel procedures to Mecca to perform Hajj rituals. The scenes in the hall documented moments where smiles blended with emotion, as the pilgrims held their passports and boarding passes amidst a spiritual atmosphere reflecting the great longing for the Hajj journey and the reassurance provided by the "Makkah Road" initiative from the early stages of travel. The images showed the interaction of Saudi personnel with the pilgrims through welcome and support, in a scene that embodies the human dimension of the initiative, in addition to the organizational integration and digital technologies it provides that contribute to accelerating procedures and improving the quality of services offered to the guests of the Most Merciful. It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Interior is implementing the "Makkah Road" initiative in its eighth year in cooperation with a number of government entities, including the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Health, Hajj and Umrah, Media, the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SDAIA), the General Authority of Awqaf, the Guests of the Most Merciful Service Program, and the General Directorate of Passports, in integration with the digital partner (stc Group).
