(CNN)-- The Moroccan national team delegation arrived in Rabat on Sunday, coming from Boston, USA, after the end of the 'Atlas Lions' participation in the 2026 World Cup.

The Moroccan national team players and members of the technical and administrative staffs received a warm welcome from the fans upon their arrival at Rabat-Salé International Airport earlier on Sunday.

Supporters of the 'Atlas Lions' carried the Moroccan flag, chanted enthusiastic slogans, and greeted members of their national team.

Meanwhile, the players waved to the fans and sent greetings from a close distance in appreciation of their support and backing for the team.

The Moroccan team had reached the quarter-finals in the current World Cup, before losing to France by two goals to nil.

The 'Atlas Lions' drew with Brazil 1-1, defeated Scotland 1-0, and beat Haiti 4-2 in the group stage, then overcame the Netherlands on penalties in the round of 32 and Canada 3-0 in the round of 16, before suffering defeat to Kylian Mbappé's teammates.
