Al Wadi Resort: A World-Class Fountain and a Unique Tourism Project in Asir
The Al Wadi Resort in the Asir region witnessed the inauguration of the second tallest fountain in the Middle East, the largest in the Kingdom, and the third tallest globally, with a height of up to 120 meters, at a cost exceeding 16 million riyals, pumping more than 7 million liters of water, making it one of the most prominent tourist attractions in the region.
The fountain's inauguration is part of an integrated tourism project spanning an area of over 300,000 square meters, featuring various entertainment and tourism facilities, including gardens, farms, restaurants, cafes, a theater, and indoor halls, providing a comprehensive experience for visitors and families throughout the year.
The resort houses a heritage village spanning 60,000 square meters, designed to reflect the authenticity and heritage of the Asir region, featuring traditional shops and markets that showcase the area's cultural heritage, as well as a comprehensive heritage museum scheduled to open next month, embodying the region's history and heritage in all its components.
The resort offers a diverse daily program of entertainment events, led by dancing fountain shows, theatrical performances, and accompanying activities, held daily from 1:00 PM until midnight, contributing to the stimulation of tourism and enriching the visitor experience during the summer season.
The project reflects the role of the private sector as a key partner in supporting national development, through investment in distinctive tourism projects that contribute to stimulating economic activity and enhancing the position of the Asir region as one of the Kingdom's leading tourist destinations, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to develop the tourism sector and improve quality of life.
