The Ministry of Interior confirmed that expatriates who delay leaving the Kingdom after the expiry of their entry visa face legal penalties including a fine of up to 50,000 riyals, imprisonment for up to 6 months, in addition to deportation.

The Ministry also called for reporting violators of residency, labor, and border security regulations by calling 911 in the regions of Mecca, Medina, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and 999 in all other regions of the Kingdom.
