Engineer Waleed bin Ibrahim Al Daghis, Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture branch in the Makkah region, affirmed that the Bani Malik center possesses distinguished agricultural components and promising opportunities for qualitative investment, stressing the Ministry's continued support for farmers and enabling the agricultural sector to achieve the goals of sustainable development and the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

This came during a field tour conducted by Al Daghis on a number of agricultural and investment projects in Bani Malik, during which he reviewed the reality of agricultural production, and the experiences of farmers in growing and producing pomegranates and coffee, in addition to activities related to the processing industries and local agricultural products.

During the visit, Al Daghis listened to the needs of farmers and the challenges they face, stressing the Ministry's keenness to enhance direct communication with them, and provide support and guidance to contribute to developing production, raising the quality of agricultural products, and achieving optimal utilization of the natural potentials that distinguish the region. He explained that field visits represent one of the important approaches adopted by the Ministry to closely monitor the performance of the agricultural sector, identify investment opportunities, and strengthen partnership with farmers and investors, to support food security and increase the contribution of the agricultural sector to the national economy.

He pointed out that the Ministry's branch in the Makkah region continues to implement a number of initiatives and programs aimed at enabling farmers, developing rural communities, and benefiting from the comparative advantages of governorates and agricultural centers, to achieve sustainable economic and social development.
