The General Directorate of Passports stated that 'citizens and residents can extend a single or multiple visit visa through the visit visa extension service via the Absher electronic platform.'

'The Passports' added, via the 'X' platform, that 'the service allows individuals to extend visitor visas provided that the service is executed from the host's account on the Absher platform, and that there are no recorded traffic violations against the visitor.'

It stressed that the conditions also include the validity of the visitor's health insurance, payment of the visa extension fee, validity of the visitor's passport, in addition to the necessity of the visitor being inside the Kingdom, and that the remaining period of validity of the visa to be extended must be 7 days or less, or that no more than 3 days have passed since its expiry, including the expiry date.
