The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources carried out 1,279 field visits to industrial facilities in various regions of the Kingdom during May 2026, as part of its efforts to ensure industrial compliance, enhance the quality of national products, and achieve fair competition in the sector.

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, represented by the Agency for Industrial Services and Compliance, carried out 1,279 field visits to industrial facilities in the Kingdom during May 2026, focusing on monitoring factories' compliance with the requirements and conditions necessary for practicing industrial activity, and taking regulatory measures against violators, as part of the Ministry's efforts to improve the investment environment, enhance governance, and ensure fair competition in the industrial sector.

The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Jarrah bin Mohammed Al-Jarrah, explained that the field visits carried out during May 2026 were distributed across all regions of the Kingdom, with the Eastern Region receiving the largest share at 387 visits, followed by Riyadh Region with 386 visits, then Makkah Region with 242 visits, while Al-Qassim Region recorded 85 visits, Asir Region 77 visits, Madinah Region 40 visits, Tabuk Region 26 visits, Al-Jouf Region 21 visits, in addition to visits in the Northern Borders, Hail, and Al-Baha regions.

Al-Jarrah affirmed that the Ministry will continue its field visits to ensure that industrial facilities apply the necessary requirements and conditions for practicing industrial activity, and to monitor the commitment of national factories to providing high-quality products that conform to approved standards and specifications, in addition to rectifying the status of factories located outside industrial cities.

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources requires any facility engaged in industrial activity to obtain an industrial license, environmental permit, spatial licenses, safety and operation licenses. It also requires food and drug industry facilities to obtain a license from the Saudi Food and Drug Authority before starting production, in addition to quality conformity certificates for products subject to technical regulations issued by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization.
