Foreign remittances decline to 14.1 billion riyals in May, and Saudi remittances fall to 4.7 billion riyals

Remittances from foreign residents in Saudi Arabia recorded a decline of 7% in May 2026, reaching about 14.15 billion riyals, compared to the same period in 2025.

On a monthly basis, foreign remittances in May decreased by about 505 million riyals, or 3%, according to data from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

Saudi remittances abroad also fell by 14% in May compared to the same period in 2025, reaching 4.73 billion riyals, the lowest in more than two years.
