Jeddah, 29 Muharram 1448 AH, corresponding to 14 July 2026 AD, SPA - His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God preserve him, chaired the session held by the Cabinet today in Jeddah. At the outset of the session, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince informed the Cabinet of the content of the telephone call he received from President of the United States of America Donald Trump, and the review of areas of cooperation between the two countries and a number of regional and international issues, as well as the emphasis on supporting everything that contributes to achieving the region's security and stability. His Highness also briefed the Cabinet on the outcome of his discussions with Prime Minister of Canada Mark Carney, and their affirmation of the keenness to consolidate and develop bilateral relations at various levels toward a future characterized by deeper joint cooperation, supported by mutual trust and close friendship and the objectives derived from (Saudi Vision 2030) and the Canadian Growth Agenda to build a stronger and more resilient economy for both countries. In this context, the Cabinet commended the signing of memoranda of understanding during the official visit of the Prime Minister of Canada regarding the establishment of the "Saudi-Canadian Coordination Council" and cooperation in the field of energy, investment in artificial intelligence, and skills development, and the success achieved in the Saudi-Canadian Investment Forum, which included the announcement of commercial and investment agreements between government entities and companies and institutions from both countries in the fields of mining, engineering, infrastructure, advanced industries, training, education, financial services, and information and communications technology. His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Acting Minister of Media, Engineer Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, stated in his statement to the Saudi Press Agency after the session that the Cabinet, following its monitoring of events on the regional and international arenas, condemned in the strongest terms Iran's repeated attacks on commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz, and on the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, affirming the complete rejection of Iran's continued behavior destabilizing the region's security and its violations of the principles of international law, the Charters of the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the rules of good neighborliness. The Cabinet welcomed the contents of the meeting held in Riyadh between the Saudi and Iraqi sides, including Iraq's affirmation of its commitment not to allow the use of its territory and airspace as a launch point for any actions or attacks targeting the Kingdom, the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, and the region's countries, in addition to agreeing to continue bilateral coordination in a manner that serves common interests. The Cabinet welcomed the United States of America's announcement of the initiation of procedures to repeal the "Law on Designating the Syrian Arab Republic as a State Sponsor of Terrorism," which was enacted in 1979, reiterating the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's support for the positive steps taken by the Syrian government to enhance security and stability, build state institutions, and achieve the aspirations of its brotherly people. The Cabinet reviewed the topics on its agenda, including subjects that the Shura Council had studied, and reviewed the outcomes of the Political and Security Affairs Council, the Economic and Development Affairs Council, the General Committee of the Council of Ministers, and the Council of Experts of the Council of Ministers on those matters. The Council concluded the following: First: Authorizing His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs, or his deputy, to negotiate with the Guatemalan side regarding a draft general cooperation agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Republic of Guatemala, and to sign it. Second: Authorizing His Highness the Minister of Culture, or his deputy, to negotiate with the Albanian side regarding a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the cultural field between the Ministry of Culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Albania, and to sign it. Third: Authorizing His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, or his deputy, to negotiate with the Armenian side regarding a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the fields of labor and social protection between the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, and to sign it. Fourth: The Saudi Society of Internal Auditors to negotiate with the Turkish Institute of Internal Auditors regarding a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of internal audit, governance, risk, and compliance, and to sign it. Fifth: Approving a memorandum of understanding for technical and scientific geological cooperation between the Saudi Geological Survey and the Iraqi Geological Survey. Sixth: Approving two memoranda of understanding in the field of anti-corruption between the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Office of the Attorney General of the Federative Republic of Brazil, and the High Authority for Good Governance of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire. Seventh: Approving a memorandum of understanding between the General Court of Audit of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State Audit Office of the Republic of North Macedonia for cooperation in the field of accounting, auditing, and professional work. Eighth: Approving two memoranda of understanding for cooperation in the field of procedures, mechanisms, and strategies related to the non-profit sector between the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Social Development of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Ministry of Culture, Community, and Youth of the Republic of Singapore. Ninth: Approving a memorandum of understanding between the King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. Tenth: Approving the State Revenues Law. Eleventh: Creating a training visa to be granted to international trainees, according to a number of arrangements. Twelfth: Appointing Mr. Imad bin Aouda Al-Ouda and Mr. Fahd bin Mohammed Al-Shibl as members of the Board of Directors of Saudi Post Corporation. Thirteenth: Approving the final accounts of the Agricultural Development Fund, the Tourism Development Fund, and the universities: (Jazan, Umm Al-Qura, Hail, and Hafr Al-Batin) for previous fiscal years. Fourteenth: Directing necessary action on a number of topics on the Cabinet's agenda, including annual reports from the Royal Commission for the Development of King Abdulaziz Reserve, and the universities (Umm Al-Qura, Northern Border, and King Khalid). Fifteenth: Approving the promotion of Mohammed bin Yousef Al-Harbi to the position of (Minister Plenipotentiary) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the promotion of Khalid bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh to the position of (Legal Advisor) at Grade (Fourteenth) in the Council of Experts of the Council of Ministers. // End // 15:23 PM 0111
