Real Estate Registry opens registration for 1,491 properties across three regions

The Real Estate Registry has launched the initial registration process for 1,491 real estate parcels in the Riyadh, Makkah, and Tabuk regions.

This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia's broader efforts to modernize its real estate sector and enhance property rights security.

In line with a Council of Ministers ruling and the Real Estate Title Registration Law, the Real Estate General Authority (REGA) supervises title registration.

In Riyadh, registration covers a number of properties in Afif Governorate, as well as several neighborhoods in Rumah Governorate: Al Rabiyah, part of the Open Area District affiliated with Al Rawdah Municipality, and part of the Open Area District affiliated with Al Sharq Municipality.

In Makkah, registration includes properties in Taif Governorate, covering parts of the Umm Al Rasf, Al Qarahin, and Umm Al Arad neighborhoods. The campaign also includes a number of properties in Umluj Governorate in the Tabuk Region.

The registry said property owners within the designated areas must register their properties by Thursday, October 22, 2026.

Property owners can check if their property is within the designated zones via the Real Estate Registry website (www.rer.sa) or mobile app. They can also call the customer service hotline 199002 for help with registration.

The registry emphasized that completing registration within the specified period enables owners to benefit from Real Estate Registry services, carry out real estate transactions more efficiently, and avoid the penalties and fines stipulated under the Real Estate Title Registration Law.

It added that the registry will continue expanding property registration across eligible areas as part of its efforts to enhance reliability and transparency in the sector by developing a comprehensive national real estate database that serves as a unified reference for all property information in the Kingdom.

For every registered property unit, the registry will issue a unique Property Number and a Title Registration Deed, which will include the property's precise geographic location, ownership details, physical description, legal status, associated rights and obligations, and any subsequent real estate transactions.

The registry noted that the designated registration areas are determined according to a set of criteria.

The National Real Estate Registration Services Company (Real Estate Registry) is responsible for establishing and managing the Kingdom's real estate registry using geospatial data, modern technologies, and an integrated digital platform to enhance transparency and confidence in real estate services and property data.

Completing registration within the deadline not only enables smoother transactions but also helps owners avoid penalties stipulated under the Real Estate Title Registration Law. The registry aims to expand coverage to eligible areas, building a comprehensive national real estate database that will serve as a unified reference for all property information in the Kingdom. This system is expected to significantly boost transparency and reliability in the real estate sector.
