Seizing and removing 230 random stalls in Al-Khomra, Jeddah
The Jeddah Municipality, in cooperation with relevant authorities, carried out a field campaign in the scope of the Southern Sub-Municipality in the Al-Khomra area, as part of the efforts of the committee to prevent the spread of itinerant vendors and beggars violating regulations, with the aim of removing manifestations of random selling, enhancing compliance with regulations, and improving the urban landscape.
Security authorities dealt with 33 violators among itinerant vendors.
The campaign resulted in seizing and removing 230 random stalls, confiscating various quantities of clothes and hardware, in addition to lifting and transporting about 362 tons of waste to the municipality's landfill, and delivering 14 truckloads to the Southern Sub-Municipality in preparation for handing them over to charitable societies according to applicable procedures.
Security authorities also dealt with 33 violators among itinerant vendors and took legal measures against them, within the framework of integration between government agencies to maintain public order and enhance compliance.
The Jeddah Municipality affirmed the continuation of implementing supervisory campaigns to monitor and prevent random selling and address locations of itinerant vendors, which contributes to improving quality of life, protecting public health, and preparing an organized urban environment for residents and visitors, calling on everyone to report violations through official channels.
