The Absher platform has made available the service of updating the family record electronically for citizens who have previously issued a family record, without the need to visit civil affairs offices.

The platform explained that the service allows beneficiaries to request an update to the family record online, with the possibility of having the document delivered to their registered address.

Cases requiring family record update

Changing the first name of a family member or the applicant.

Registering a newborn through one of the parents, with the record automatically updated for the party who registered.

Death of a family member.

Changing the marital status of the applicant.

In the same context, the Absher platform confirmed that the other parent can update the record when registering a newborn, and the update is automatically done for the party who registered the newborn, whether the father or the mother.

Steps to update the family record

The family record can be issued electronically via the Absher platform by logging into the Absher website, then selecting 'My Services' and choosing 'Civil Affairs', then selecting 'Family Record Services', and choosing 'Issue Family Record'.
