The Taif Municipality has begun organizing mobile commercial vending activities as part of its efforts to address visual distortion and regulate this activity in public and tourist sites in the region.

The municipality explained that the Agency of Municipalities has prepared unified sites for practitioners of this activity across the governorate, supported them with necessary services, aiming to raise the efficiency of health and food practices, improve the quality of services provided to consumers, and support small projects.

The municipality is working on selecting attractive sites for youth investment, targeting tourist sites in the region, while coordinating their designation with relevant authorities to maintain traffic safety, and implementing sales outlets with designs that suit the identity of the region, its events, and festivals.

The Agency of Municipalities in Taif Municipality confirmed that it is working to empower workers in this activity, while reducing the randomness that was practiced on roads, sidewalks, and public sites, addressing observations recorded during the past period, in addition to raising the level of compliance with municipal regulations and instructions, preventing violations and transgressions, and preserving the safety of public facilities.

These efforts come in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in regulating commercial activities and preserving the urban landscape, as the municipality, through its initiatives, supported creating job opportunities for productive families and youth in the governorate, and enabling them to practice their activities within clear regulatory frameworks.
