Al Baha, Safar 06, 1448 AH corresponding to July 20, 2026, SPA - The Mayor of Al Baha Region, Chairman of the Executive Committee for Summer of Al Baha, Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Sawat, inspected the readiness of the main event sites for Summer of Al Baha 2026, by reviewing the final preparations for the launch of the 18th Honey Festival, the 'Marba' project, and the Productive Families and Artisans Festival. During his tour, he reviewed the final preparations for the 18th International Honey Festival, which is held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al Baha Region, from July 26 to August 9, 2026, as part of the Summer of Al Baha events. The tour included the festival's facilities and its organizational and service preparations, featuring the largest dome in the southern regions with a diameter of more than (40) meters and an area exceeding (1,300) square meters, along with (50) indoor pavilions designated for exhibitors, government and private entities, and (10) outdoor pavilions for seasonal products and manufacturing industries. Dr. Al-Sawat inspected the 'Marba' project, one of the temporary investment projects of the Al Baha Region Municipality, located near Raghdan Park on an area exceeding (37,000) square meters, which includes open seating areas, restaurants and cafes, handicraft workshops, and murals inspired by the heritage of Al Baha Region, contributing to enriching visitors' experience during the summer season. The tour also included the Productive Families and Artisans Festival, organized by the Social Development Bank within the Summer of Al Baha 2026 events, attended by the bank's director Sharifa Al-Ghamdi, where he reviewed the participation of productive families and artisans, with more than (80) kiosks distributed across several targeted governorates, including (15) kiosks in Baljurashi Governorate and (8) kiosks in Al Mandaq Governorate, as part of supporting small enterprises and empowering artisans and productive families to market their products.
