1,131 Seizures of Contraband at Customs Ports in a Week
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) announced the seizure of 1,131 smuggling cases of prohibited items at land, sea, and air customs ports during the past week, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance security and protect the community from all kinds of contraband.
ZATCA clarified that the confiscations included 118 types of narcotics, such as hashish, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, Captagon pills, and others, in addition to 402 prohibited substances. Customs ports also saw the thwarting of 2,478 tobacco products and derivatives, along with 25 types of financial amounts, and 9 types of weapons and their accessories.
It affirmed that it continues to tighten customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports, to achieve community security and protection, through continuous cooperation and coordination with all its partners from relevant authorities.

The authority receives through these channels reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the Unified Customs Law provisions with complete confidentiality, granting a financial reward to the informant if the report information is correct.
