15836 Violators of Residency, Work and Border Security Laws Arrested in Regions of the Kingdom
The joint field campaigns to monitor and arrest violators of residency, work and border security laws, conducted in all regions of the Kingdom, for the period from 24/1 to 1/2/1448 AH corresponding to 9 to 15/7/2026 yielded the following results:
First: The total number of violators arrested in the joint security field campaigns across all regions of the Kingdom reached (15836) violators, including (7892) violators of the residency law, (4617) violators of the border security law, and (3327) violators of the labor law. Second: The total number of those arrested while attempting to cross the border into the Kingdom reached (1631) individuals, (33%) of Yemeni nationality, (65%) of Ethiopian nationality, and other nationalities (02%). Additionally, (42) individuals were arrested for attempting to cross the border out of the Kingdom illegally.
Third: (21) individuals involved in transporting, harboring, employing violators of the residency, work and border security laws, and covering up for them were arrested. Fourth: The total number of violators currently subject to law enforcement procedures reached (30139) violators, including (28087) men and (2052) women. Fifth: (17273) violators were referred to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents, (6160) violators were referred to complete their travel bookings, and (12211) violators were deported.
The Ministry of Interior affirmed that anyone who facilitates the entry of violators of the border security law into the Kingdom, or transports them within it, or provides them with shelter, or offers them any assistance or service in any form, exposes himself to penalties of up to 15 years imprisonment, a fine of up to one million riyals, confiscation of the means of transport and the residence used for harboring, in addition to defamation. It explained that this crime is considered a major crime warranting arrest and a crime against honor and integrity, urging the reporting of any violations to number (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the Kingdom's regions.
