2,700 Violations Detected During Intensive Inspection Tours in Al-Baha
The Al-Baha Region Municipality detected 2,795 violations and issued 1,143 warnings to violating establishments during the second quarter of this year, as part of its intensive inspection campaigns to enhance compliance with health and municipal requirements and protect consumer safety.
Confiscation and destruction of more than 295 kg of unfit materials
The municipality stated that health and market inspection teams carried out 19,400 field visits, during which they received 254 reports through approved channels, and these were handled in accordance with regulatory procedures.
The tours also resulted in the confiscation and destruction of more than 295 kilograms of unfit or non-compliant materials, in addition to apprehending 204 itinerant vendors who violated regulations and instructions.
The Al-Baha Region Municipality affirmed the continuation of its inspection campaigns on commercial and food establishments and markets, contributing to raising compliance levels and improving service quality, in support of the targets of the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing in enhancing public health and consumer safety.
