The Kingdom's ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed Al Jaber, affirmed that the Kingdom continues to support efforts for de-escalation and peace and the endeavors of the UN envoy to reach a comprehensive political solution that ends the suffering of the Yemeni people, pointing out that the terrorist Houthi militia still clings to escalation and violence in the service of foreign agendas that have nothing to do with Yemen.

Peace requires a sincere will that places Yemen's interest above all else.

He explained that the Houthis have turned Yemen into a pawn in the hands of external parties, and continued to promote false claims and export their crises to evade responsibility for the humanitarian tragedy in the areas under their control.

Al Jaber emphasized that the Kingdom will continue to support the opening of Sana'a airport to commercial flights and enabling Yemenis to travel, after the militia disrupted flight operations with flimsy pretexts, and will also continue to support the entry of ships to Hodeidah ports to meet the needs of the Yemeni people, at a time when the militia continues its attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea, threatening the safety of international navigation.

He affirmed that peace requires a sincere will that places Yemen's interest above all else, away from violence and external dependency, and that the Kingdom will remain supportive of the Yemeni people and their legitimate government until security and stability are achieved throughout Yemen.
