The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force announced that Iran continues what it described as its systematic hostile approach through attacks targeting civilians in the kingdom, confirming that the Bahraini air defense systems managed, today Thursday, July 16, 2026, to intercept and destroy a number of Iranian aerial attacks.

The General Command explained that its forces dealt with the attacks with high efficiency based on advanced combat readiness and firm will, noting that all weapons and military units are at the highest levels of readiness and defensive preparedness to protect the security of the kingdom and the integrity of its territories.

The General Command called on citizens and residents to exercise caution and not approach any strange or suspicious objects that may be resulting from the remnants of the attacks, and to immediately report them to the competent authorities.

It stressed that the Royal Field Engineering Unit is on standby for safe technical handling of those objects, ensuring public safety.

The General Command emphasized that the use of missiles and drones to target civilians and private property constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, expressing its pride in the combat readiness and high vigilance shown by the members of the Bahrain Defense Force in performing their defensive duties to protect the homeland.
