Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced that several power and water desalination plants were attacked yesterday for the fourth consecutive day as a result of 'the sinful Iranian aggression that the State of Kuwait is subjected to.'

In a statement on Tuesday, the ministry said the attack resulted in fires breaking out in a number of facilities of those plants, noting that the ministry's emergency teams, in coordination with the General Fire Force and security authorities, immediately dealt with the incidents and contained and extinguished the fires.

Meanwhile, the statement said that the damage caused by the attacks has been assessed, as teams are implementing plans to repair damage and rehabilitate facilities, noting that a number of generating units have been taken out of service in accordance with precautionary operational procedures and to ensure the safety of equipment and the stability of the electricity and water systems.

The attack on the power plants came two days after Iran targeted energy facilities in Kuwait, as Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced that a power and water desalination plant was attacked for the second time in two days as a result of 'the sinful Iranian aggression' that the State of Kuwait is subjected to, causing a fire to break out in some of the plant's facilities, according to a Kuwaiti statement.
