The Arab Republic of Egypt strongly condemned the heinous Iranian attack that targeted a power and water desalination station in the State of Kuwait, which constitutes a direct assault on a vital civilian facility, a flagrant violation of Kuwait's sovereignty, and a dangerous escalation threatening the security and stability of the Gulf region and increasing regional tension.

Egypt affirmed in a statement by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs today its full solidarity with the State of Kuwait, and its support for all measures it takes to maintain its security and stability and protect its vital facilities, reiterating its absolute rejection of targeting civilian facilities and vital infrastructure, as it constitutes a direct threat

to the security of civilians and the stability of the region.

Egypt called for an immediate halt to all escalatory actions, and for prioritizing diplomatic solutions to preserve the security and stability of the region and spare its peoples further tension and escalation.
