The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced this evening a new round of strikes against Iran. In a statement, the command said these strikes aim to continue undermining Iranian capabilities used to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, noting that its strikes come as US forces have resumed the naval blockade of Iranian ports and coastal areas. US President Donald Trump had announced Monday the reimposition of a naval blockade on Iran to ensure the freedom and safety of international navigation, while CENTCOM has carried out three waves of military strikes against Iran in recent days.
