US military ends new strikes against Iran

The US military today concluded a new wave of military strikes against Iran, for the eleventh consecutive day.

The US Central Command stated in a press release that the strikes targeted Iranian military operations centers, naval capabilities, aircraft hangars, drone storage facilities, as well as military logistics infrastructure.

It added that these strikes are part of continuing efforts to undermine Iran's ability to threaten commercial navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and to maintain the security of international maritime passages.

The Command noted that over the past three months, Iran has targeted more than 30 commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, pointing out that those attacks endangered the lives of hundreds of sailors and affected freedom of navigation and regional and international trade.

It affirmed that US forces continue to monitor developments and maintain readiness to deal with threats targeting commercial ships and international navigation.
