The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the completion of a new wave of military strikes against Iran late Monday evening, marking the third consecutive night the United States has launched strikes on Iranian territory.

CENTCOM stated in an official statement that the military mission lasted 5 hours, during which US forces successfully struck military targets across Iran, aiming to further weaken Tehran's ability to attack commercial ships in the region.

US forces used precision-guided munitions to target Iranian coastal defense systems, missile and drone sites, as well as Iranian naval capabilities.

CENTCOM confirmed that more than 50,000 US troops are currently deployed across the Middle East, emphasizing that its forces remain on full alert and readiness.

These strikes came after US President Donald Trump announced the re-imposition of a blockade on Iranian ports and proposed charging a 20% fee for protecting navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

In response, the Iranian Joint Military Command affirmed that the United States will have no role in determining the future of the Strait of Hormuz and will not be allowed to interfere in its affairs, following Iran's announcement at the beginning of the week of closing this vital waterway.
