Arab League condemns Houthi attack on Saudi ship and denounces Iranian aggression on Arab countries
أعلنت جامعة الدول العربية رفضها القاطع للانتهاكات الحوثية والإيرانية التي تستهدف الملاحة البحرية وأمن الدول العربية، مشددة على ضرورة وقف التصعيد فوراً.
The League of Arab States affirmed its categorical rejection of the Houthi attack on a Saudi ship in the Red Sea, and the Iranian attacks on Gulf countries and Jordan, stressing that these practices represent a violation of international law and a threat to navigation security and stability in the region.
The official spokesperson for the Arab League said in a statement that the League welcomes the position expressed by the Gulf Cooperation Council, stressing the importance of Arab solidarity in facing threats targeting its security and the safety of maritime routes.
He stressed the need for an immediate halt to all actions that threaten international navigation in the Red Sea and the Strait of Hormuz, calling on Iran to cease its violations and return to the negotiation process as the only way to reach a comprehensive and sustainable settlement, warning that continued escalation would complicate the crisis and undermine security and stability efforts in the region.
