Cairo, Safar 09, 1448 AH corresponding to July 23, 2026, SPA. The League of Arab States affirmed its absolute rejection of the Houthi attack on a Saudi ship in the Red Sea, and the Iranian attacks on Gulf states and Jordan, stressing that these practices constitute a violation of international law and a threat to navigation security and regional stability. The official spokesman for the Arab League said in a statement that the League welcomes the position expressed by the Gulf Cooperation Council, affirming the importance of Arab states uniting to confront threats targeting their security and the safety of maritime routes. He stressed the need for an immediate halt to all acts threatening international navigation in the Red Sea and the Strait of Hormuz, calling on Iran to cease its transgressions and return to the negotiation process as the only way to reach a comprehensive and sustainable settlement, warning that continued escalation would complicate the crisis and undermine security and stability efforts in the region. // End //23:40 T M 0234
