The Arab Parliament condemned and denounced the statements issued by the so-called military spokesman of the Houthi terrorist militia accusing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of besieging the Yemeni people and imposing a ban on maritime navigation.

Parliament Speaker Mohamed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi affirmed, in a statement, the Parliament’s complete rejection of these provocative and irresponsible statements, which contradict the continuous efforts and ongoing support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Yemeni people. He stressed the Arab Parliament's absolute rejection of any offensive statements or threats targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or affecting its sovereignty and national security, affirming that the Kingdom's security is an integral part of Arab national security.

Al-Yamahi called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and take necessary measures to implement relevant Security Council resolutions, foremost of which is Resolution (2722), to ensure the protection of freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and deter any actions that threaten regional and international peace and security.

He renewed the Arab Parliament's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all legitimate measures it takes to protect its security, territorial integrity, and interests.
