Kuwait - Safar 7, 1448 AH corresponding to July 21, 2026 AD - SPA: The State of Kuwait expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the statements made by the so-called military spokesman of the terrorist Houthi militia accusing the Kingdom of blockading the Yemeni people and imposing maritime navigation restrictions. In a statement issued by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, it renewed its full solidarity with the Kingdom and its support for all measures it takes to preserve its security and sovereignty, emphasizing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of Kuwait and the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council. The State of Kuwait called upon the international community to ensure the implementation of relevant Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution No. 2216 regarding Yemen and Resolution No. 2722 regarding the rights and freedom of navigation in the Red Sea, affirming that freedom of navigation in international waterways is a right guaranteed by the rules of international law and the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. // End //
