Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced on Tuesday that a number of power generation units were taken out of service due to Iranian bombardment.

The ministry stated that "in light of the continued sinful Iranian aggression attacks that the State of Kuwait is subjected to, several power and water distillation plants were attacked on Monday evening, for the fourth consecutive day, resulting in fires in a number of their facilities."

The ministry added that its emergency teams, in coordination with the General Fire Force and security authorities, immediately dealt with the incidents, managed to control and extinguish the fires, assessed the damage caused by the attacks, and teams are working on implementing plans to repair the damage and rehabilitate facilities.

It pointed out that a number of generation units were taken out of service according to the precautionary operational procedures in place, and to ensure the safety of equipment and the stability of the electricity and water systems.

The ministry affirmed that it will continue to inform the public of developments as they occur through its official channels.
