A responsible military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, stated that air defense systems detected today six missiles coming from Iranian territory targeting the Kingdom's territory, and dealt with them immediately upon entering Jordanian airspace.

The source added that air defenses intercepted and shot down four missiles, while the other two fell in two remote uninhabited areas, with no human casualties or material damage. The source affirmed – according to the Jordanian news agency Petra – that the Kingdom's airspace is under continuous operational monitoring, and that the armed forces will deal with any aerial threat targeting Jordanian territory in accordance with the rules of engagement in force, so as to ensure the protection of the Kingdom's sovereignty and the safety of its citizens.
