Bahrain Sounds Sirens and Calls Citizens and Residents to Head to Safe Places
The Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced the activation of warning sirens in several areas, calling on citizens and residents to remain calm and head to the nearest safe place, while following updates through official channels.
The ministry said in a brief statement: 'The warning siren has been activated. We ask citizens and residents to remain calm, head to the nearest safe place, and follow the news through official channels.'
Earlier on Monday, the US military announced that its forces had begun carrying out additional strikes against targets inside Iran, confirming that the attacks, which began at 5:00 PM Eastern Time, aim to further undermine Tehran's ability to attack civilian sailors and commercial ships crossing the Strait of Hormuz.
In response, Iranian state television reported hearing several explosions in various areas in the south of the country, including the city of Sirik near the Strait of Hormuz, as well as other explosions west of the city of Bandar Abbas, Iran's largest port on the Gulf, and on Qeshm and Jask islands.
