Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi, President of the Arab Parliament, strongly condemned the Houthi militia's targeting of the southern region of Saudi Arabia with ballistic missiles, affirming that this cowardly terrorist attack constitutes a grave violation of international law and international humanitarian law, and a dangerous escalation that would undermine security and stability in the region, and reflects the continued hostile approach pursued by the Houthi militia in threatening the security of states and targeting civilians and civilian facilities.

Al-Yamahi affirmed the full solidarity of the Arab Parliament and its complete standing with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all legitimate measures it takes to protect its security and stability, and to preserve the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory, stressing that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a fundamental pillar and an integral part of Arab national security, and that any infringement on its security is an infringement on the security and stability of the entire region. He also praised the vigilance and efficiency of the Saudi armed forces, and the high readiness they demonstrated in confronting and thwarting these attacks.

The President of the Arab Parliament stressed that the continuation of such blatant attacks poses a serious challenge to regional and international efforts aimed at establishing security and stability, and undermines efforts to reach a political solution to the Yemeni crisis, which obliges the international community to assume its responsibilities and take a firm stance to put an end to these violations and hold those responsible accountable.
