Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy announced on Saturday that another power and water desalination plant was subjected to a hostile Iranian attack, which resulted in a fire in one of the plant's components.

It added that the attack necessitated taking precautionary operational measures, including disconnecting several generating units, to ensure the safety of the plant and its workers and to maintain the stability of the electrical system.

It clarified that the ministry's emergency teams are currently coordinating with the General Fire Force and relevant authorities to deal with the fire. The ministry confirms that all operational and emergency plans were activated immediately after the incident, to ensure the continuity and stability of the electrical and water systems, and to minimize any potential impact on service, with continuous technical and operational follow-up around the clock.
