Jordan announces partial and temporary closure of its airspace

Amman, March 02 (QNA) - Jordan announced today a partial and temporary closure of its airspace to all incoming, outgoing, and transiting aircraft, in light of current regional developments.

Captain Dhaifallah Al-Frajat, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority, stated in a statement that Jordanian airspace is being partially and temporarily closed to all incoming, outgoing, and transiting aircraft, in light of current regional developments and risk assessment according to international standards.

Al-Frajat explained that this measure will be applied daily, with the closure starting from 6:00 PM until 9:00 AM the following day, noting that the decision will remain in effect from tonight until further notice, in order to ensure the safety and security of civil aviation in Jordanian airspace.
