Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry: Iranian aggression a grave violation of international law and UN Charter
Kuwait expressed its strongest condemnation of "the continued sinful Iranian aggression on its territory, and what it represents of a continuous aggressive approach and a flagrant violation of its sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, and a grave violation of the rules of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and Security Council Resolution 2817 of 2026."
Kuwait held Iran "fully responsible for the continuation of these attacks and their consequences," stressing that "persistence in this aggressive approach against the State of Kuwait and all states of the Gulf Cooperation Council exacerbates the state of escalation and tension, and undermines the security and stability of the region," and called on it "to immediately cease these attacks."
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed in a press statement that "the State of Kuwait will continue to take all necessary measures to protect its territory, its people and residents, and preserve its interests, and reserves all its legitimate rights in accordance with the provisions of international law."
The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army announced on Thursday that "air defenses repelled hostile drone attacks following the sinful Iranian aggression."
It noted that "if explosion sounds are heard, they are the result of air defense systems intercepting hostile attacks, asking everyone to adhere to the security and safety instructions issued by the competent authorities."
