The Kingdom of Bahrain condemned the continued criminal Iranian attacks that targeted its territory, as well as the United Arab Emirates, the State of Kuwait, the State of Qatar, the Sultanate of Oman, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, considering this a dangerous escalation threatening the security and stability of the region, a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, a grave breach of the rules of international law, the United Nations Charter, the Charter of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Security Council Resolution 2817, and the principles of good neighborliness.

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed, in a statement today, the right of the Kingdom of Bahrain and brotherly states to take all legitimate measures to defend their sovereignty, security, and stability, and to protect citizens and residents on their territories, in accordance with the provisions of international law, Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, and the Joint Defense Agreement of the Gulf Cooperation Council, while committing to the highest levels of restraint and ensuring the settlement of disputes through dialogue and peaceful means.

The ministry reiterated the Kingdom of Bahrain's call on the international community, especially the Security Council, to assume its legal responsibilities and take firm and deterrent measures against Iran's continued criminal and systematic aggressions on the region's states, and to establish an effective mechanism to ensure implementation, accountability, and compensation in accordance with Security Council Resolution 2817 and United Nations Human Rights Council Resolution 1/61, and to oblige Iran to fully comply with its international obligations, cease its hostile operations and terrorist schemes, and ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the safety of vital waterways, thereby contributing to enhancing security, stability, and sustainable development in the region and the world.
