Border Guard Organizes Awareness Events Tomorrow in Five Regions

The General Directorate of Border Guard will organize awareness events tomorrow, Thursday, in several regions of the Kingdom, in conjunction with World Drowning Prevention Day, which falls on July 25 of each year, with the aim of raising awareness of drowning risks, promoting a culture of prevention, and contributing to reducing incidents related to swimming and marine activities.

The events will be held from July 23 to 24, 2026 in the regions of Madinah, Tabuk, Jazan, the Eastern Province, and Asir, while events in the Makkah region will be organized on July 25.

The events include training workshops on swimming and rescue skills, awareness exhibitions, as well as providing safety guidelines for swimmers and marine activity participants, raising awareness about the importance of supervising children, and adhering to safety instructions and regulations, contributing to enhancing community safety and reducing drowning incidents.

These events are part of the General Directorate of Border Guard's efforts to spread preventive awareness, enhance community partnership, and instill safety concepts among community members, thereby raising the level of prevention and preserving lives.
