Citizen Arrested for Transporting Border Security Violators in Jazan Region

Patrols of the General Directorate of Mujahideen in Jazan Region arrested a citizen for transporting in his vehicle violators of the Border Security System of Ethiopian nationality. They were detained, legal procedures were taken against them, and the two violators were referred to the competent authority, and the transporter was referred to the Public Prosecution.

The official spokesperson for the General Directorate of Mujahideen emphasized that anyone who facilitates the entry of border security violators into the Kingdom, transports them within it, provides them with shelter, or offers them any assistance or service in any form, exposes themselves to penalties of up to (15) years in prison, a fine of up to one million riyals, confiscation of the vehicle and housing used for shelter, in addition to public defamation. He explained that this crime is considered a major crime warranting arrest and a breach of honor and trust, urging people to report violators of residency, labor, and border security regulations by calling (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the Kingdom's regions. All reports will be handled with complete confidentiality without any liability on the reporter.
