Land, sea, and air customs ports recorded 1131 seizures of contraband, as part of the continuous efforts by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) to enhance security and protect society from all types and forms of contraband.

The seized items included 118 types of narcotic substances, such as hashish, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, Captagon pills, and others, in addition to 402 prohibited items.

Customs ports foiled 2478 seizures of tobacco and its derivatives, along with 25 items of monetary amounts, and 9 items of weapons and their accessories.

ZATCA affirmed that it is proceeding to tighten customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports, to achieve and protect community security, in cooperation and continuous coordination with all its partners from relevant authorities.

At the same time, ZATCA called on everyone to contribute to combating smuggling to protect society and the national economy, by contacting them on the security reporting number (1910) or via email ([email protected]) or the international number (009661910), whereby the authority receives through these channels reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the provisions of the Unified Customs Law with complete confidentiality, and grants a financial reward to the reporter if the information is correct.
