Cybersecurity specialist Essam Al-Qubaisi affirmed that cyber threats are increasing worldwide, noting that the Kingdom adopts a proactive approach in building and qualifying national competencies to face these challenges.

Al-Qubaisi explained, during an interview with Al-Ekhbariya channel, that international reports indicate a global shortage exceeding five million specialists in the field of cybersecurity, stressing that this number reflects the magnitude of the challenge facing various countries.

He added that the Kingdom does not wait for this gap to worsen, but invests in preparing national cadres, considering that investment in Saudi human capital is no less important than investment in modern technologies and devices.

He pointed out that possessing advanced technologies alone is not enough to achieve the required protection, as the success of the cybersecurity system depends on qualified specialists capable of operating and managing it efficiently, stressing that national competencies have proven their passion and ability to excel in this field.
