Deputy Governor of Yemen's Taiz Refutes Houthi Claims: Militias Besiege City, Cut Off Water Supply
The Deputy Governor of Taiz, Dr. Abdulqawi al-Mukhlafi, said that all Houthi group claims are false and that the militia is the one besieging us and cutting off water to Taiz.
He added, during an interview with Al-Ikhbariya channel, that Taiz has been under a suffocating siege for more than a decade, and it is one of the largest Yemeni governorates in terms of population density and has received large numbers of displaced people.
Al-Mukhlafi pointed out that the militias control all the city's needs and its economic lifeline, noting that the people of Taiz look forward to completing the liberation and restoring the state and its institutions behind the political leadership.
On Thursday, the city of Taiz witnessed a massive popular march in support of the battle for liberation and the restoration of state institutions, and in support of the decisions of the Presidential Leadership Council aimed at protecting Yemeni sovereignty and ending the coup of the Houthi militia.
