Yemeni Deputy Foreign Minister Mustafa Noman accused Iran of seeking to forcefully open a front in Yemen, warning that the entire region is targeted by Tehran and its 'Houthi proxy.'

Noman said in remarks to Al Arabiya/Al Hadath on Wednesday: 'The numbers refute the Houthis' claims of a blockade, stressing that the group does not believe in peaceful solutions and can only continue in an atmosphere of war and escalation.'

He affirmed that the Yemeni government has already begun exporting oil, noting that it has given the Houthi group a 'final opportunity' to engage in a path that leads to ending the crisis, while stressing that the country cannot remain in a state of 'neither war nor peace.'

Noman added that the Houthis are trying to distract Yemenis from their internal problems, and they do not consider the citizen a priority, but rather use him as a tool for extortion, emphasizing that the group does not have the ability to impose control, but rather practices what he described as 'piracy.'

The Deputy Foreign Minister stated that the Yemeni government bears moral and national responsibilities and does not want to drag the country into war, but the continuation of the current situation is no longer possible.

He pointed out that the government has completed the administrative procedures for unifying the military decision, stressing that the government does not wish to resort to war, but continues to work to serve Yemen's stability and preserve the interests of its people.

The United Nations expressed grave concern over the renewed Houthi threats to freedom of navigation, signaling the danger of a broader regional escalation.

Yemeni Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Taher al-Aqeeli, confirmed that the armed forces, in all their formations, are at the highest levels of combat and moral readiness to wage the battle for liberation and salvation and to end the Houthi coup.
