Jassim Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), condemned in the strongest terms the treacherous Iranian attacks that targeted the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, hitting infrastructure and civilian facilities and resulting in injuries to a number of civilian workers in Kuwait.

Albudaiwi affirmed that Iran's actions constitute a very dangerous escalation and a serious violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, noting that targeting infrastructure and civilian facilities amounts to war crimes that require international accountability and prosecution, in flagrant violation of all international norms and conventions, and a deepening of efforts to destabilize the security and stability of the region.

The Secretary-General stressed that the GCC stands united with the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, affirming its support for all measures taken by these countries to protect their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and expressing his wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured in Kuwait.
