A Palestinian mother and her four children were killed early Tuesday in an Israeli airstrike that targeted their home in central Gaza City, while Israeli forces advanced east of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

This comes as part of the daily Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in effect in the strip since October 10, 2025.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that its crews recovered the bodies of five Palestinians, a mother and her four children, from an airstrike on an apartment in the al-Samer area of Gaza City.

A medical source at Shifa Hospital told Anadolu that the bodies of Salsabil Muhammad al-Masri (34) and her children Naim Firas al-Masri (13), and his sisters Feryal (11), Salma (9), and Amira (6) had arrived.

The source noted that 'the bodies of the martyrs arrived at the hospital charred.'

For its part, the Gaza Civil Defense Directorate said its crews extinguished a large fire in the al-Masri family home caused by the Israeli raid that targeted it.

In a related context, Israeli artillery shelled areas southeast of the al-Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City, amid heavy gunfire from military vehicles stationed in the vicinity.

In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli forces advanced into the 'Abu Gharaba' area east of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

Local sources and eyewitnesses told Anadolu that several tanks accompanied by a military bulldozer advanced about 100 meters amid heavy gunfire, carried out land leveling operations, and then withdrew after several hours.

The sources mentioned that the area had seen an expansion of Israeli army control areas days earlier, as concrete blocks symbolizing the so-called 'yellow line' were moved westward.

The yellow line is a hypothetical boundary line set by the ceasefire understandings reached in October 2025, marked by yellow concrete blocks, separating areas from which the Israeli army withdrew and those it still occupies in the strip.

Since the signing of the agreement, the Israeli army has expanded its control in Gaza, with the percentage of land it controls rising from 53% to 70%, according to statements by Israeli officials.

Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, from its implementation until Monday, have resulted in the deaths of 1,158 Palestinians and injuries to 3,756 others, according to data from the Ministry of Health in Gaza.

The agreement was reached after two years of a genocidal war launched by Israel on October 8, 2023, which left more than 73,000 dead and over 173,000 wounded, and massive destruction affecting 90% of civilian infrastructure.
