The Israeli army killed a Palestinian northwest of Jerusalem on Monday, and settlers shot another in the southern occupied West Bank, while Israeli forces arrested 4 Palestinians in several areas.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported in a statement that its crews dealt with a "martyr" from Israeli army fire near the separation wall in the town of Beer Nabala, northwest of Jerusalem.
A local source told Anadolu correspondent that the Israeli army shot the young man Nasr Za'al Eid Ka'abneh (19 years old) near the separation wall built on the town's land.
He explained that Ka'abneh was wounded in the abdomen and kept bleeding until ambulance crews reached him.
He added that the crews performed CPR before announcing his death.
Israeli forces, accompanied by a military bulldozer, also stormed the town of Silwan south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and spread in several neighborhoods, according to local sources and eyewitnesses for Anadolu.
In the context of Israeli attacks, the Jerusalem Governorate said in a statement that Israeli authorities forced a Palestinian to demolish his own house in the town of Umm Tuba, southeast of Jerusalem.
It added that the authorities threatened to carry out the demolition by the Israeli municipality and impose a fine of 80,000 shekels (about $24,000).
It explained that the house housed seven individuals who became homeless, as part of the self-demolition policy imposed by Israeli authorities on Palestinians in Jerusalem.
Injuries and arrests
In the southern occupied West Bank, a Palestinian youth was shot by Israeli settlers during an attack on homes between the town of Sa'ir and the village of al-Minya, northeast of Hebron, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.
The agency reported, citing security sources, that the settlers shot the youth, wounding him in the foot.
It added that he was taken to Beit Jala Government Hospital, where his condition was described as moderate.
In Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate in the central West Bank, local sources told Anadolu that Israeli forces arrested the young man Fadi Abdullah Taha after raiding and searching his home in the town of Kafr Malik, northeast of Ramallah.
They added that the forces set up a temporary military checkpoint in the Ain Ayoub area near the village of Ras Karkar, northwest of Ramallah, stopping Palestinian vehicles and checking IDs.
Meanwhile, settlers blocked a road with stones in the town of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah, and let their livestock into farmers' lands in the town of al-Mughayyir, destroying agricultural crops.
Settlers also attacked the outskirts of the village of Burqa and tried to steal several sheep, before locals confronted and prevented them, according to local sources for Anadolu.
In Jenin in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces arrested Palestinian Ali Said Mahasneh after storming the village of Deir Abu Daif, east of the city, raiding and searching his home, according to local sources.
The sources added that the forces searched an agricultural supply store and a grocery store owned by Mahasneh.
Large Israeli forces also stormed the town of Jaba', south of Jenin, raided dozens of homes and a mosque, and turned a cafe in the town center into a field investigation center.
The forces detained dozens of youths, including mosque imams, before withdrawing without making arrests, according to local sources.
In Nablus in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces arrested a Palestinian from Balata camp, east of the city, after storming the camp and raiding and searching several homes, according to local sources.
In Hebron in the southern West Bank, the forces arrested the young man Muhammad Youssef al-Shalaldeh after raiding and searching his home in the town of Sa'ir, northeast of the city, according to local sources.
In the Jordan Valley, settlers stormed the 'Halaq al-Rummana' community, west of Jericho, and let their livestock loose in the area, according to local sources.
Continuous escalation
Since October 8, 2023, the Israeli army and settlers have escalated their attacks in the occupied West Bank, resulting in the killing of 1,179 Palestinians, wounding of about 13,000, and arrest of nearly 24,000, according to official Palestinian figures.
Palestinians say these attacks also include vandalism and demolition of homes and facilities, bulldozing of agricultural land, preventing farmers from accessing it, displacing Palestinians, and expanding settlements on their land.
Palestinians warn that Israel is paving the way through these attacks to officially announce the annexation of the occupied West Bank, which would undermine the possibility of establishing an independent Palestinian state, as stipulated in relevant UN resolutions.
In 1948, Israel was established on lands occupied by armed Zionist gangs that committed massacres and displaced at least 750,000 Palestinians; then Tel Aviv occupied the rest of the Palestinian territories and refuses to withdraw from them.
