Iranian Attack Targets Kuwaiti Power Plant
The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy of Kuwait announced today that one of its power and water distillation plants was subjected to an attack that resulted in damage to the plant's facilities, a fire outbreak, and damage to a large number of power generation units.
The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) quoted a statement from the Ministry of Electricity clarifying that "as a result of the sinful Iranian aggression that Kuwait was subjected to, one of the power and water distillation plants was attacked, resulting in damage to the plant's facilities, a fire, and damage to a large number of power generation units, which necessitated activating emergency plans, immediate handling of the incident, mitigating its effects, and maintaining the operation of the electrical system."
The statement affirmed that firefighting teams immediately dealt with the incident, managed to control and extinguish the fire, with technical teams and relevant authorities coordinating to implement necessary precautionary measures to assess the damage and work on returning the affected units to operation, while ensuring the highest standards of security and safety.
