Iranian Ministry of Health announced on Friday that 55 people have been killed and more than 600 others injured since the beginning of the latest US attacks on Iran.

Sources explained that this toll of Iranian dead and wounded has been recorded since the start of the US airstrikes on June 27 until the morning of July 23.

This comes as Iranian media reported dozens of explosions in several areas in the south of the country.

Iranian media said explosions were heard in the cities of Bandar Abbas, Ahvaz, Amidieh, and the vicinity of Andimeshk in Khuzestan province, in addition to an explosion on the southern coast of Qeshm Island near the Strait of Hormuz.

The media indicated that 4 people were killed and 5 others injured as a result of the US army attack on the vicinity of Ahvaz city, where more than 20 explosions were recorded after the US bombing.

Explosions also occurred in Khondab in Markazi province, Konarak in Sistan and Baluchestan province, and Khorramabad in Lorestan province.

Iranian media reported that at least three powerful explosions were heard on the southern coasts of Qeshm Island.
