The Iranian army on Thursday revealed details of new drone attacks, claiming they targeted Al-Doha, Ali Al-Salem, and Arifjan bases in Kuwait, as part of an operation called 'Operation Thunderbolt.'

These attacks come within the framework of the ongoing military confrontation between Iran and the United States in the region.

A statement by the Iranian army said that 'the army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, within the 23rd phase of Operation Thunderbolt, carried out an intensive drone attack on the centers and units of the terrorist US army in Al-Doha, Ali Al-Salem, and Arifjan bases in Kuwait.'

The statement added that the attack came 'in response to the enemy's continued aggressions against our country,' noting that the destructive drones targeted 'ammunition and logistics warehouses of the child-killing US army in Al-Doha bases, fuel depots in Ali Al-Salem base, and an equipment depot in Arifjan camp in Kuwait.'

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) had announced in a social media post earlier Thursday that it had launched new strikes on Iran for the 12th consecutive night as part of the series of US attacks on Iran.

For its part, the Kuwaiti army announced in a statement on its X account on Thursday that its air defenses are currently confronting 'hostile drone attacks, following the Iranian aggression.'
